Bandung – Calon Presiden nomor urut 2 Prabowo Subianto mengungkapkan bahwa sejak muda, dirinya telah bersumpah untuk siap mati demi bangsa dan rakyat Indonesia.
“Dear brothers and sisters, from the young age of 18, I have signed up to be ready to die for the nation and the people of Indonesia,” he said in front of tens of thousands of citizens at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GLBA) Stadium, Bandung City, Thursday (8/2).
Throughout his struggle, he said he had faced death several times and had recited the two sentences of the shahada, as taught by the kyai.
“Dear brothers and sisters, my ustad, my kyai, have taught me, Prabowo, as a Muslim, before you take your last breath, you must recite the two sentences of the shahada,” he said.
“And I have recited the two sentences of the shahada three times in my life because I thought, I was called by God,” he explained.
However, he said, God still gave him the opportunity. Until now, he can still fight in the 2024 Presidential Election together with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“But it turns out that God still gives me breath, still gives me strength, still gives me health. It means I have to fulfill my duty to the nation and people of Indonesia,” he said.
“And now, after I have sacrificed my life for this republic for decades, I cannot bear to still see poor people in Indonesia, I cannot bear it,” he continued. (SENOPATI)
