Depok – A student of Junior High School in Depok, West Java, was a victim of a robbery. The victim was slashed in the back resulting in severe wounds. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Depok Police, Iptu Made Budi, stated that the incident occurred on Jalan Anggrek 5, Kelurahan Depok Jaya, Pancoran Mas District, Depok. The robbery took place around 1:30 PM, when the victim was returning home from school. The victim is identified as DT.
“Around 1:30 PM, the victim was intending to go home alone from a school located on Jalan Bangau Raya. The victim is a student of SMPN 2 Depok,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Depok Police, Iptu Made Budi on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

As the victim was walking alone towards his house, suddenly the victim was approached by two individuals riding a motorcycle. As they passed by Jalan Anggrek, one person pretended to ask for directions from the victim. The perpetrator immediately snatched the victim’s cellphone. When the phone was snatched, the victim resisted to defend the phone.

When the victim resisted, the perpetrator pulled out a sharp weapon and slashed the victim. DT suffered a slash wound on the left lower back. After injuring the victim, the perpetrator fled. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital by residents.
“The perpetrator slashed the victim on the lower left back. After the attack, the perpetrator left the scene, while the victim cried for help and was taken to RS Hermina,” he explained.
The victim suffered severe wounds and had to be taken to the hospital. The victim required 10 stitches. “As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a wound on the lower left back. A tear wound requiring 10 stitches,” he said.
This robbery was captured on CCTV cameras by residents, as seen from the footage of the victim walking and being approached by the perpetrator. The perpetrators, two individuals riding a motorcycle, approached the victim.
The perpetrators wore helmets and masks. One of the perpetrators got off the motorcycle and approached the victim to ask something. Meanwhile, the other perpetrator stayed on the motorcycle. The perpetrator immediately snatched the victim’s phone and the victim resisted. At that moment, the perpetrator pulled out a sharp weapon and injured the victim. The case is currently being investigated.
