Tambora Police Station’s Criminal Investigation Operation team successfully captured three motorcycle theft specialists, identified as TA (32), RN (20), and WB (17) in an operation. The suspects were apprehended after stealing a motorcycle belonging to a resident on March 9, 2025. According to Tambora Police Chief Commissioner Polisi Muhammad Kukuh Islami, the perpetrators admitted to stealing a Honda Beat Street motorcycle from a resident in Kalianyar, Tambora. It was disclosed that the trio had committed theft in various areas, including West Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bogor, on eight occasions. Additionally, along with the captured perpetrators, another individual who is currently being sought, named ON, is linked to purchasing the stolen goods. The case was cracked during a patrol led by Inspector of Police First Class Sudrajat Djumantara near Duri Station on March 10, 2025, at around 3:00 AM. Suspicious activities by three individuals carrying bags led to their inspection and eventual discovery of various tools used in motorcycle theft. These findings resulted in the perpetrators being charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code for theft with aggravating circumstances, as well as Article 1 paragraph (1) of Emergency Law No.12 of 1951 on illegal weapon possession.
