Reaksi Emosional Warga: Kisah “Ticket Wars” dan Air Mata di Istana Merdeka

The flag-lowering ceremony at the commemoration of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day at Merdeka Palace on Sunday (Aug. 17) was filled with a solemn atmosphere. Jakarta resident Titi Nurdianti, originally from Cilacap, Central Java, felt a deep sense of pride and emotion during the historic event. She shared how challenging it was to secure an official ticket for the ceremony, having to compete online with other Indonesians. Finally obtaining a ticket brought overwhelming joy and emotion as she witnessed the ceremony for the first time.

Having only seen the flag-lowering ritual on television before, Titi was moved to witness it in person on August 17, 2025. She chose to wear traditional attire from West Nusa Tenggara to mark the occasion, donning a striking red outfit from the region. Titi expressed her excitement about wearing a traditional outfit from NTB, as it gave her a chance to learn more about the culture of West Nusa Tenggara.

One of the most memorable moments for Titi during the commemoration was the procession towards the National Monument following the flag-lowering ceremony. The festive parade added to the grandeur of the Independence Day celebration this year. Amidst the tears and joy, Titi offered prayers and hopes for Indonesia’s future, wishing for continued progress, prosperity, justice, and peace for the nation and its people.

She expressed optimism and faith in President Prabowo, praying for his health and leadership to bring welfare and strength to Indonesia. Titi’s experience at the flag-lowering ceremony was a symbol of her deep love for her country and her hopes for a bright future ahead.
