Geely Auto Indonesia recently held a handover ceremony for the Geely EX2 to the first 100 customers at Teater Keong Emas, TMII, on February 28, 2026. This event was not just a typical handover ceremony, as it was also simultaneously held in Thailand on the same day. Over 5,000 units of the Geely EX2 have been delivered to customers in both countries as a gesture of appreciation to the initial customers who played a role in building awareness and early acceptance of this compact SUV electric model.

The Geely EX2 was officially launched in Indonesia on January 20, 2026, with a Local Content Level (TKDN) of 46.5%. Geely has started delivering the first batch of 1,000 units to customers, in line with their localization strategy that includes technology transfer, strengthening of the supply chain, and support for the development of the national automotive industry.

Since the pre-booking period for the Geely EX2 opened, over 5,000 orders have been received, and the enthusiasm from customers is driven by the value for money offered by the Geely EX2 as a compact EV for daily use. The delivery process to customers is ongoing gradually, with an estimated wait time until March-April 2026, according to Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales and Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia.

The Geely EX2 is designed as a smart urban electric vehicle, with an Extra Fun 2 You spirit, targeting young professionals who seek a stylish car with a fun driving experience. This model comes in attractive pastel colors, coupled with a smiling front grille and 16-inch four-leaf clover-style wheels, emphasizing a modern and youthful character.

As a compact EV, the EX2 offers a functional cabin with ergonomic seats, ample legroom, a spacious trunk, and a 70-liter front trunk for added convenience in storing daily necessities. The driving experience is supported by rear-wheel drive (RWD) and multi-link rear suspension, delivering stable, responsive, and agile driving characteristics.

The Geely EX2 features active safety measures like blind spot detection and a 540° camera with transparent chassis display, making maneuvering and parking in tight spaces easier while keeping drivers alert in busy traffic. Equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with 12 functions, the Geely EX2 provides a secure and confident driving experience both in the city and on the road.

In anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan month and holiday travel season, Geely has introduced the “Geely Semarak Lebaran” program, offering special after-sales services to customers to support safe and comfortable holiday travel with Geely. Throughout March 2026, customers can enjoy free general check-ups for labor costs at all official Geely workshops, covering exterior, engine compartment, driver’s cabin, and underbody areas including electrical systems.

During the peak travel period from March 19 to 24, 2026, 11 Geely dealerships will remain open in five major cities that are primary routes for travelers: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, and Denpasar. Geely also provides 24-hour Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) to ensure smooth, enjoyable, and worry-free travels during the holiday season. Additionally, Geely continues to expand its dealership network, currently operating 45 dealerships with a target of 80 dealerships by the end of the year to serve customers in more Indonesian cities. As a key market for Geely in Southeast Asia, Indonesia plays a crucial role in the company’s growth plans in the region. Moving forward, Geely plans to expand its vehicle lineup across various segments and strengthen its network so that more customers can easily access Geely products and services.
