Bitcoin Price Prediction: Tom Lee Forecasts Bitcoin to Reach $200,000 by End of Year
Bitcoin’s price was previously forecasted to reach $200,000 per coin by the end of the year. According to Yahoo Finance on Wednesday (10/8/2025), crypto analyst and managing partner of Fundstrat Global Advisors, Tom Lee, has predicted that the expected interest rate cut by the US central bank at the next monetary policy meeting on September 17 will drive the asset higher.
Lee believes that the main catalyst for this surge will be the policy of the US central bank, the Federal Reserve (The Fed). “Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies like Ethereum are very sensitive to monetary policy,” Lee said. He added that The Fed’s decision at the upcoming monetary policy meeting on September 17 will be a key trigger.
“I think Bitcoin could easily reach $200,000 before the end of the year, and I know that’s a big move,” Lee revealed. Based on data from CoinGecko, the price of Bitcoin recently traded around $112,000, rising less than one percent in the last 24 hours.
Previously, this crypto asset hit an all-time high last month at $124,128 before experiencing a correction due to investor concerns about inflation, the US economy, and other macroeconomic uncertainties. The prediction by Tom Lee has sparked optimism among investors and crypto enthusiasts, eagerly awaiting Bitcoin’s potential growth in the coming months.
